Q. Do you ever bake and freeze your cakes ahead of time?
A. NEVER. We believe the cake should be so fresh you can taste the difference. Your cake will be baked within 24 hours of your event in the case of cupcakes, 48 hours in the case of mud cakes, and a little longer for fruit cakes and couture cookies. Just enough time for the flavours to really fuse together and enhance.
Q. Can you cater for special dietary needs? Or organic products?
A. Yes. we can create cakes that are organic, vegetarian or either gluten free/wheat free, egg free, dairy free or cane sugar free but we are limited in some flavours and decorating materials. We also make cakes with no added nuts but some of our ingredients may be produced or packed in places that also produce nut containing products, so traces may be present.
Q. Can we have a different flavour from the ones on your favour list?
A. While we always try to accommodate our clients we do have to keep in mind that the flavour and consistency of our cakes needs to be suitable for the design chosen, particularly with tiered cakes.
Q. Do you use old fashioned marzipan or almond paste on your cakes/cupcakes/cookies?
A. No. we use a delicious fondant for our coverings and creations. it comes in vanilla chocolate and white chocolate flavours or can be subtly flavoured to compliment your chosen cake flavour. Its a soft, sweet paste perfect for colouring, rolling and modelling and made right here in Australia.
Q. My granny/aunty/next door neighbour makes a great cake, can you decorate that for me if I bring it to you?
A. No, unfortunately we cannot bring goods produced outside our own kitchen in and would not be able to assist. You will find lots of delicious flavours in our comprehensive flavour list though.
Q. I found a great idea on the internet/in a book/magazine, can you create something similar for me?
A. Yes, you can get inspiration from anywhere you like, just email or bring along the images to your consultation and we will discuss how to create your chosen design.
Q. I saw a cake on your website and its exactly what I want. Can you replicate it for me?
A. Yes we can. But we find most people make minor changes that make their design unique to their event or occasion, like colour changes for instance.
Q. Where do you deliver to?
A. We deliver to the whole of the Southern Highlands on a regular basis and also can deliver outside this area on request. We can post or courier couture cookies, sugar flowers and figurines anywhere in Australia. Please email to enquire.
Q. Can we collect our custom order from you?
A. Yes, you are welcome to collect small orders from us at our studio in Robertson NSW, but we strongly recommend delivery and set up by our professional staff for weddings and larger orders.
Q. What is your minimum order?
A. Minimum orders are
24 custom cookies
24 regular/large cupcakes 36 mini cupcakes
$120 for larger cakes, 3D sculpted cakes and tiered cakes
there is no minimum for flowers, figurines and custom lettering, if we can fit you in we will make them for you.
Q. Do you offer discounts?
A. Yes, if you pay in full on the day of booking we offer as much as 10% discount.
If you pay in full in cash we offer as much as 15% discount.
Discounts are offered for bulk quantities of cupcakes, couture cookies, figurines and flowers. Shipping or delivery may be included free of charge or discounted for some orders.
Q. Do you cater for corporate events/bulk orders.
A. Yes we can cater for corporate events. We can create a custom selection of large or individual sweet or savoury treats for your next event. Please email for a menu and book early for bulk orders.
Q. Is a deposit required and how can we pay it?
A. Yes, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking your order. It can be payed directly to our Bank account, using your surname and event date as a reference. the balance is payable no less than 14 days prior to the event.

Q. I am not sure what I want to order yet but want to secure the date now. What should I do?
A. You can pay a $100 deposit to secure your chosen date for unto 30 days. Within that time you will need to meet or consult via email or telephone to discuss your order and we will develop a design. Please email to confirm availability of your date before paying a deposit.
Q Can we come and meet with a sugar artist and sample some cake flavours first?
A. Absolutely, we love to meet with our clients to discuss how we can help them create something special or unique. we hold several Tasting days throughout the year. A tasting plate for two is $65 for up to 4 flavours of choice from our flavour list, this includes a consultation and a sample pack to take home.
Q. If we cancel our order will we get a refund?
A. When we book your order for a specific date, we may then close our bookings for that date, so we will exclusively focus on your order, and therefore no other orders are possible for that date and thus a cancellation effects our business. If you cancel within 30 days of your event no refunds will be given, but any flowers or figurines already made may be sent to you, at the discretion of staff and according to costs already incurred. Prior to 30 days a refund may be given of monies over the initial deposit of 50% according to costs incurred, and cookies,flowers and figurines will be sent to you.
* holding deposits are non refundable but may be transferred once at the discretion of staff.
